True Shooters-Atari Jaguar

Atari Jaguar is the system that probably has the most flaws to it. Wether its the bulky controller or the funky looking system. Same goes with the two Shmup's that were released for the platform.

Trevor McFur in the Crescent Galaxy: The only other launch tittle (Other being Cybermorph), Trevor McFur was a Horizontal Shmup that showcased 3D rendered graphics. And... well... that's pretty much it. The sound bytes were horrible and to top it off, no music during gameplay. The controls were choppy and the weapons were monotonous. And the Boss Battles felt endless. Trevor Mcfur is another reason why the Atari Jaguar was one of the many flops of the 90's. The rarity of the game is very low. However, a complete copy and in good condition usually goes for about $10.

Released in 1993, Raiden was one of the 2 Shmup games for the Atari Jaguar. Raiden, Developed by Seibu Kaihatsu and Published by Fabtek, is the ever so popular 2-Player Vertical Shmup. Stated to be the only system to deliver Raidens' high level of arcade excitment, Raiden boasted cd quality sounds and enriched graphics on the Atari Jaguar. However, the game lacked controls and mobility. The aircraft felt sluggish and at times, froze a little. The graphics were beautiful. But it just wasn't enough. Raiden is known for being fast paced and run smoothly. Trying to showcase the Jaguar's capabilities, Raiden felt as another lackluster in the Jaguar Library. Raiden is a little rare to find in the wild. However, online can be easily accessible. Going rate usually goes for $25 to $30. That is of course that said game is complete and in collectibility condition.
